Developed by the Italian based team MixedBag Games, Futuridium EP Deluxe first released back in 2014 on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita (and later Windows) receiving positive critical praise among reviewers and gamers alike. Now two years later, the very challenging Star Fox inspired shoot’em up is entering the physical realm.
Whilst no firm release date has been set, we do know that Futuridium EP Deluxe will be limited to just 4,000 copies split amongst the two platforms - the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita - that it will be releasing upon - meaning there will be just 2,000 copies up for grabs on each platform. MixedBag Games also confirmed that the physical versions will be fully patched, fixing some issues that plagued trophies on the digital version of the game.
As usual both versions of the game will be sold through the Limited Run Games webstore, on a first-come first-served basis. Past physical releases through the Limited Run Games website have sold out increasingly fast with each new release - so gamers will have to be quick if they hope to snatch up a Limited Run copy of Futuridium EP Deluxe this year.
For Nintendo owners meanwhile, the recent (March 3rd) Nintendo Direct also brought news that Futuridium EP Deluxe will see a release in 2016 for both the ‘New’ Nintendo 3DS and Wii U platforms. The game will be running at 60fps and taking advantage of the 3D capabilities of the 3DS device - though once again no firm date has been set, it’s expected both releases will be this year.
