Söldner-X fans rejoice!

After initially receiving a limited print run through indie publisher Limited Run Games - of just 3,200 copies - on the PlayStation Vita back in July - which sold out in record time due to unexpectedly high demand. Söldner-X 2: Final Prototype is now set to receive a brand new physical release come January 2017 on the handheld, but this time from an entirely different and more official avenue.

Original publisher eastasiasoft have announced a region-specific release for Söldner-X 2: Final Prototype on the PlayStation Vita - sure to make many fans who missed out on the Limited Run release happy campers. This Asian release - which includes multi-language options - will be “licensed by Sony Asia and will be distributed in Asian packaging” Nils of eastasiasoft informs me. The title, which is currently available to pre-order exclusively through Play-Asia is priced at $24.99 and guarantees all orders placed by October 25th of this month, after which whilst stock lasts.

Gamers and/or collector’s looking to pick up the physical release of Söldner-X 2: Final Prototype, can also currently vote on their preferred box art, with publisher eastasiasoft seeking fan-opinion of how the official physical PlayStation Vita casing of the game should look. Eastasiasoft have also informed me that whilst no plans are currently in the works, depending on the sales success of Söldner-X 2: Final Prototype they may indeed license future titles for physical release.
